A silent film for silent mountains

What a non-season it's turning into.

French ski resorts had been hoping that the government would allow them to open, but as our friends at Planet Ski report, it's unlikely that French resorts will be able to open soon.

That must be hugely frustrating for everyone.  I can't imagine what it's like to be a tourist office, keen to have people ski, having faced months of uncertainly with no end in sight.

Meanwhile, the Italian resort of Sauze d'Oulx, just over the French border, has created a silent 1920s-style film about the challenges of trying to open and put on a light show. It's very well done, and worth a watch.
