Prices on overnight trains from Paris to the Alps have been slashed by 75% for the whole of February and March. Skiers can now take an overnight train from as little as £26 return.
The new price cuts announced today by Rail Europe mean that reclining seats from Paris to Chambéry, Bourg St Maurice, Moûtiers and L'Hospitalet (for Andorra) are on offer for just £13 each way.
But the better deals are in the sleeper carriages: just £17 each way in a six-berth couchette, or £41 each way in a "first class" four-berth couchette.
The deals are available on overnight trains from Paris between January 29 and March 31, 2010. Bookings must be made between January 25 and February 12, 2010.
By travelling overnight, skiers and boarders get more time on the slopes. And if you book a sleeper, you can arrive feeling refreshed and ready to hit the slopes.
The deals are available from Rail Europe but availability is limited, so we advise you to book early. To reach Paris from the UK, simply buy a connecting ticket from Eurostar. To find out which resorts you can reach, see our ski resorts page.
