Sitting compartments

The 'sitzplatz' (also called 'day couch' by City Night Line - something got lost in translation) is a sit-up place in a six-person compartment. Not advised unless you can sleep sitting up!

On-board restaurant

On the outward leg (Paris to Munich) City Night Line has a fantastic, reasonably-priced restaurant carriage, with freshly prepared hot and cold dishes and draft beer. Credit cards are accepted. The Munich to Paris train does not have a restaurant carriage, but there are good restaurants at Munich station to eat at before boarding.
