Daniel Elkan/snowcarbonThis is the City Night Line
Daniel Elkan/snowcarbonThe six-berth couchettes have soft pillows, fresh sheets and blankets. Shared toilet facilities are at the end of each carriage.
Daniel Elkan/snowcarbonThe two-person sleeper compartments have a luxurious feel, with a private toilet and shower, with neatly folded towels provided.
Daniel Elkan/snowcarbonThe 'sitzplatz' (also called 'day couch' by City Night Line - something got lost in translation) is a sit-up place in a six-person compartment. Not advised unless you can sleep sitting up!
Daniel Elkan/snowcarbonOn the outward leg (Paris to Munich) City Night Line has a fantastic, reasonably-priced restaurant carriage, with freshly prepared hot and cold dishes and draft beer. Credit cards are accepted. The Munich to Paris train does not have a restaurant carriage, but there are good restaurants at Munich station to eat at before boarding.
