Mountain restaurants

There are some excellent mountain restaurants in Courchevel where you may find yourself spending hours over a leisurely lunch.

Restaurants in town

There are 70 restaurants in Courchevel in total, village including three Michelin-starred ones: The 2* Restaurant Chabichou, which has a wonderful sunny terrace (00 33 47 908 00 55); The 2* Bateau Ivre with a panoramic view over the valley (00 33 47 900 11 71); and La Table du Kilimandjaro (00 33 47 901 46 46), newly awarded 1* in the guide.

Après-ski and nightlife

Once the lifts close, Courchevel is a lively place to be. There are plenty of bars, but if you want to carry on later there are three night clubs too - Les Caves de Courchevel (0033 479 08 12 74) and La Grange in Courchevel 1850 (0033 479 08 14 61), and Le Club in 1650.

As prices can be steep in Courchevel, one way to save some money is to opt for a few nights in, in your chalet. Plan for this and take cards and games along. After all the skiing you will do in the Three Valleys you may well find you are looking for any excuse to rest your weary legs!
