How to book trains to St Moritz with Rail Europe and Switzerland Travel
The best way get a low fare is to book two tickets: one to the border of Switzerland, then a Swiss Transfer ticket to the resort. This does not mean you need to get off the train at the border. Your journey continues as normal. The price of the Swiss Transfer ticket is fixed at £75 return, and children under 16 accompanied by a parent travel free.
Here’s how:
First, check fares to Basel with Rail Europe (two options)
Option A
Select St Pancras (or other UK departure station) and then
Basel as your destination.
Option B
Split the booking into two parts (this may give you a lower
fare, overall).
Step 1. Select St Pancras (or other UK departure station) to Paris, and
check the return fare (you can hold these in the booking
‘basket’ without paying).
Step 2. Do the same for Paris to Basel.
Step 3. Compare the fares with those in option 1.
Once you have booked travel to Basel, book a Swiss Transfer Ticket using the Switzerland Travel Centre link on the left. Select Adult tickets and then if you select children's tickets, tick the option "Family Card" and the children travel for free.
Please note, the call centre(s) listed below can also book the journey for you, and can also help you look for the lowest fares.
