Engadin St Moritz - slopes

Ski highlights for all levels

Beginners: the gladelike Salastrains area has pleasant sunny nursery slopes, as has neighbouring Suvretta, above St. Moritz Bad. Slightly further afield in the opposite direction, Celerina is also good for beginners.

Intermediates: St. Moritz is ideal. There’s more variety, however, across the valley in Corvatsch, especially in the Furtschellas area. And there’s plenty for intermediates too at Lagalb/Diavolezza.

Experts: each of the three main areas has its ration of black runs. The top-to-bottom black run at Lagalb is the genuine article, as is its equivalent at Diavolezza.

Off-piste

The Lagalb/Diavolezza area has some of the more interesting off-piste. The run down to Morteratsch is off-piste but so easy that any reasonable intermediate would be untroubled, although it should be done with a guide.

Lift system

The Engadin St. Moritz region claims to be the largest winter sports region in Switzerland. And Corviglia–Piz Nair–Marguns is the largest connected mountain area in the Engadin.

Snow reliability and snowmaking

The resort region has 260 snow cannons, guaranteeing snow on 70km of pistes.

Terrain parks

There are snow parks at Corviglia (the Mellow Park) and at nearby Zuoz.
