In a beautiful setting on the shores of the Zeller See (Lake), with a lively après-ski scene, Zell is a popular haunt for skiers and boarders. But such a scenic location between this extensive stretch of water and high mountains means Zell am See enjoys the benefits of year-round tourism too.
Indeed, for those who enjoy summer skiing, the best of both worlds are available at one and the same time: exhilarating glacier skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn before lunch and watersport in the afternoon, all coming to an idyllic close each evening with lakeside walks and restaurants.
