Swiss Ski Safaris

Ever imagined visiting more than one resort in a holiday? Visiting three smaller resorts in one week is a way to enjoy quieter slopes, charming villages and untouched powder - combining several Swiss resorts - and even several regions - into one holiday. Switzerland's efficient transport system makes this a pleasure, as you travel along some of the world's most scenic railways. Most Swiss resorts either have railway stations in them, or a short bus ride away.

You can create your own itineraries, but we’ve suggested a few below. Each consists of three charming resorts linked by scenic rail journeys, with the first and final resort convenient by train from the UK too.

Travel and accommodation can be booked through Switzerland Travel Centre, who can also suggest other resorts and itineraries too.

  • Gstaad - Andermatt - Pontresina

Begin with the spectacular views of Gstaad, then travel along the heritage Goldenpass railway to Andermatt's impressive 2965m Gemstock mountain. From there, head for the sweeping runs of Pontresina, one of St Moritz' charming neighbours, in the Graubunden region.

  • Les Diablerets - Zinal - Bettmeralp

From the heights of Les Diablerets in the Lake Geneva region, via lesser travelled slopes of Zinal in Val d'Annivers, through to the car-free village of Bettmeralp in the Valais region, in each one you'll find quiet slopes and plenty of snow...
