Paris-Austerlitz to Paris-Nord

Changing from Paris-Austerlitz to Paris-Nord is easy by using the taxi rank or a pre-booked taxi.  The Metro isn't recommended for this journey as there are stairs (unless you are feeling fit!)

You can pre-book a taxi transfer with a British company called Paris City Line (www.paris-city-line.com)

One of its drivers will wait for you at the end of your train arrival platform holding a placard with your name on it and drive you (and your skis or snowboards) across to your destination station.

The journey from Paris-Austerlitz to Paris-Nord takes 20-30 minutes, but allow 50 in total for the transfer.

When you arrive at Paris-Austerlitz, the taxi rank is directly outside the station.

Taxis arrive constantly, queues are rare and last only a few minutes. 

The price from Paris-Austerlitz to Paris-Nord is 15€ - 20€ per four-person taxi. These can carries skis or snowboards.  There is normally a 1€ charge per big piece of luggage.

The journey from Paris-Austerlitz to Paris-Nord takes 20-30 minutes, but allow 50 in total for the transfer.

The Metro (not recommended for this transfer)

The Metro journey between Paris-Nord and Paris-Austerlitz takes 20 minutes, with trains running every six minutes. A ticket costs about 2€, and you can save time by buying a carnet of 10 from a Eurostar or TGV cafe-bar. Allow 50 minutes for the transfer in total.

Take Metro Line 5 towards Bobigny-Pablo Picasso (get off at Gare du Nord)

But we wouldn't recommend this way of transferring if you have heavy cases, because you have to go up and down a set of about 15 stairs.

The ticket entry gates on the Metro can be a bit narrow to enter with a wide suitcase. Look for the wide-entry gate, which has a button that you press for it to open.
