Eurostar Direct Details
Where to

Resorts in the Tarantaise region of France including Meribel, Courchevel, Val Thorens, Tignes and Les Menuires.

How it works

From St Pancras International, the Eurostar travels direct to the Alps, stopping at Moutiers, Aime La Plagne and Bourg-St-Maurice. Transfer to resort is quick and easy.

When you can travel

There is a daytime train (departing London on Saturday morning), and an overnight train (departing Friday night). The outbound day train runs between 19 December 2009, and 17 April 2010. The outbound night train runs between 1 January 2010 and 2 April 2010.

The night train departs London at 20:31, stops in Ashford en route, and arrives at its final destination, Bourg-St-Maurice, at 06:27. The day train departs London at 10:00, arriving at Bourg-St-Maurice at 18:20.

What the trains are like

Eurostar trains are clean, efficient and punctual. All the carriages have reserved reclining seats, not couchettes (the only drawback of this service). There is a bar-buffet carriage. On the night train, this closes between midnight and 5am. You can also upgrade to Leisure Select.

What it costs

Fares start from £149 return (children from £90). See how to book the lowest fares.
