Ski holiday by train to L'Oxaly's, Val Thorens
L’Oxalys is located at the entrance of Val Thorens in a quiet and sunny area with gorgeous panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, right beside the ski slopes offering you ski-in/ski-out possibilities*. The resort centre with all its shops and services is only 300m away. The refined décor throughout L’Oxalys ski residence is bright yet intimate, guaranteeing you a very comfortable and relaxed stay for families and friends alike. Built in traditional Savoyard style using light stone and dark wood, L’Oxalys has a total of just 36 recently renovated self-catering ski apartments, sleeping 2-8 people.
Facilities at L’Oxalys include a reception desk open everyday from 09.00 – 20.00, free leisure centre with an indoor heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, two saunas, one steam room. Possibility to access to a second spa centre named “le Spa” with its small pool with hydrojet massages, one steam room and one treatment room where numerous massages and body/facial treatments are available for a supplement, a comfortable lounge-bar with open fireplace, private underground parking (20 spaces), unlimited Wi-Fi internet access (1 free connection per apartment then payable), private and secure ski lockers with heated boot-dryer, luggage room (non-supervised), a bakery delivery service (pre-order at reception the day before for delivery the next morning directly to your apartment) and a catering service (see reception for more details). The loan of cots (sheets not provided), highchairs & baby baths (request at time of booking), champagne buckets and glasses, irons, ironing boards, blenders and vacuum cleaners is also possible (all subject to availability).
A definite benefit of L’Oxalys has to be the amazing gastronomic restaurant run by renowned Savoyard chef Jean Sulpice, who is very proud to have been awarded 2 Michelin Stars. The décor of the restaurant is sophisticated and chic, with a relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff and beautiful panoramic mountain views. The menu is wholesome, inventive and authentic.
Val Thorens is a semi-pedestrian ski resort, meaning you can drive through the resort and unload your luggage at your chosen apartment or hotel and then you must park your vehicle in the residences car park or one of the public car parks in the resort, you are not allowed to park in the street. L’Oxalys has underground parking (payable, limited spaces) or you can use one of the public outdoor or covered car parks (payable & pre-bookable).
